We prepare and file your Self Assessment return, claim every allowance you are entitled to and tell you exactly what to pay and when.

For sole traders, landlords, company directors and anyone with income outside PAYE, including income from abroad.

What's included

  • Registering you for Self Assessment and getting your UTR
  • Preparing your return from your records, bank statements or Xero
  • Allowable expenses and reliefs checked line by line
  • Rental income, dividends, savings and foreign income
  • Payments on account explained, and reduced where appropriate
  • Filing with HMRC and a clear summary of what to pay

Who needs to file

You usually need a return if you are self-employed with income over £1,000, receive rental income, are a company director taking dividends, have income from abroad, or HMRC has asked you to file.

Key dates for the 2025/26 return

  • 5 October 2026: register if you are new to Self Assessment
  • 31 October 2026: paper return deadline
  • 31 January 2027: online return and tax due, plus your first payment on account
  • 31 July 2027: second payment on account

Late filing penalties

Filing late costs an initial £100, then £10 a day after three months up to £900, then further penalties at six and twelve months. Paying late adds 5% surcharges and interest. We make sure none of this applies to you.

Common questions

How much does a Self Assessment return cost?

Every situation is different, so we give you a fixed quote before we start, based on your income sources and how your records are kept.

What do I need to send you?

Your UTR, income details, bank statements or Xero access, and receipts for expenses. We send a simple checklist so nothing is missed.

Can you help if I am already late?

Yes. We file as quickly as possible, check whether penalties can be appealed and set up a plan to pay what is owed.

Do I need to file if I have income from Ukraine?

If you are UK tax resident, foreign income usually needs reporting. Double tax relief may reduce what you pay. We explain it in English or Ukrainian.
